What We Should Have Learned from the Wuhan Virus

“If you still believe that it did not originate in the Wuhan Lab in China, you need not read any further for I have posted this to the more enlightened population of our country”.

The set back that we have experienced recently makes one wonder if anything good has come out of it. When considering the fact that thousands have lost their lives, commerce has suffered tremendously and the education of our children will never catch up to their full potential, little good comes to mind.

Out of the worst scenario, can come good things if you search for them and I will try to offer some benefits that I have found.

  1. Under our previous administration, our government quickly addressed the problem and began to make plans for medical support and  encouraged pharmaceutical companies to push through immediate research into  medicine to help with this epidemic.
  1. Once faced with this tragedy, most citizens of the United States understood the situation and for the most part agreed to the restriction placed upon our nation.
  1. The first line workers performed heroically as they placed themselves in harms way in order to help others.
  1. Musicians, now without the opportunity to perform as usual , devised alternate venues and many began performing free concerts in order to lessen the stigma of insolation.

  1. Without concerts, recital and other venues, musicians were able to more easily spend time “wood shedding” on their chosen instruments.
  2. Free time gave everyone the opportunity to connect on line. This mass connection was beneficial in many ways which included on line class rooms, special interest groups as well as more parent involvement in what was being taught in our schools today.

As we now look back to this horrible time in our history, hopefully adjustments will be made to insure this does not happen again.
