On Line Trumpet Lessons- #4 Making Your Final Decision

Internet trumpet lessonsNow it is time to decide on which format and eventually on your chosen instructor. To help you finalize your decision, I have listed a few criterion which may help you decide.

Which format best suites your needs?

Skype Lessons
YouTube Lessons
DVD Lessons
Subscription Lessons
Subscription Lessons with additional Skype visit(s)

When deciding most options, it is easier to eliminate those which do not fit your needs first. To illustrate my point, I will work through this list and justify my eventual decision.

Skype lessons are great for they allow both the teacher and the student to interact with each other. This is by far the most traditional approach of all our options. But is the most traditional the best approach today or is it the tradition that interests me.

YouTube lessons are appealing for they all are free on the YouTube site. Free is good but there is no interaction between the teacher and the student. Another issue is the fact that anyone can post a YouTube video. There is no certainty that the method or material is effective.

DVD lessons are convenient for you can stop or skip around at any time. Not all DVD lessons may cover the material that you want to develop so searching for the correct program may be difficult if not impossible. These programs are relatively expensive when compared to other forms of instruction.

Subscription lessons will cover material you would like to develop and the cost is more reasonable than a DVD program. Subscription plans alone lacks the interaction which Skype lessons offer. These lessons can be kept more up to date than DVD programs and should be offered by more competent teachers than some videos you will find on YouTube.

Subscription lessons with additional (a) Skype visit(s) can be kept up to date, the cost is reasonable when compared to all other offerings and the addition of Skype contacts add a personal touch to your lessons.

With all things considered, I feel that the subscription lessons with additional Skype contact would be my choice as the most cost effective, most up to date and beneficial way to take trumpet lessons. For this reason, I decided to join the internet and make available my subscription series of on line trumpet lessons.
