Practice Plan #1- Part 2

Lip Flexibility and Fingers

This is the second of two posts which outline exercises written to be used for a suggested practice schedule. This not an all inclusive program but if you are searching for a multiple vitamin type of package, this should work. I will be posting a second program at a later date which will be written for the more advanced player.

Be sure to follow the rests as well as the suggested dynamics and tempi in this section as you did in the first.

Any plan is a good plan and this one is a great start. These sort of fundamentals should be part of a daily routine. Keep it coming.

I used a similar program for my students for many years and the use of long tones, while not new is good for everyone. Improvement in high range is best through half steps also.

Thanks for your comments and keep checking back.

Warm ups including these fundamentals are something most of us do each day. Mine are a bit different and therefore can get boring. Easy to lose concentration. Nice to add these short exercises as something different. New is fun. Thank you.
