Time has come to solve this continuing threat of random attempts to kill innocent victims. I would like to suggest a simple yet effective solution.
Both the attempt and success to kill our political leaders (President Trump and Charlie Kirk) could have been prevented if the area around the shooting had been observed through the eyes of a drone operator. Such a simple and effective preventative action could prevent the majority of these senseless attacks on our safety.
How to prevent assassinations and help diminish mass shootings.
1. The use of drones, days “before” an event, could record unusual activity around the area and indicate persons scouting out the site in advance. In both of the attacks mentioned above, each shooter walked through the site to establish his area of attack and escape. With the recorded images of an individual’s unusual activity, the possibility of an attack could be anticipated.
2. Active drone surveillance during an event in both cases would have identified both shooters long before they would have been able to take their shot(s).
3. The speed and maneuverability of a drone could have been utilized by directly confronting the shooter. The drone’s presence could be positioned in such a way as to obscuring the vision of the shooter towards his target thus preventing a shot.
4. The drones recording of the perpetrator presence and actions could be used to positively identify the shooter which could be helpful during the prosecution of the perpetrator.
5. Recording the path of escape of the shooter would be of great help with the apprehension of the felon thus replacing the current practice of searching out and obtaining normal surveillance tapes from businesses and homes in the area.
The drone could direct officials to his current location in real time.
So simple yet effective…
