Now we have come to what I feel is the best compromise among all of the cases mentioned. The soft sided trumpet cases have advanced to the point that the protection is acceptable and the issue of excessive weight has also been addressed. If I were to purchase a new case for my horns, I would definitely go for one of these.

Trumpet/Flugelhorn Cases
The popularity of doubling (trumpet and flugelhorn) for trumpet players has created a whole new case offering. The combination cases are very popular and for that reason I have included a few to look at. My all time favorite set up was a Schilke triple case for my trumpet and my Yamaha flugelhorn. Recently I replaced the Yamaha flugel with a Conn Vintage 1 and the newer horn would not fit in the old case. At this time I am using the Conn case that came with the flugel but after finishing this blog, I will be taking my own recommendation for a new double case. I can’t wait to see what I recommend.

Sure – will do. Currently taking names to add to the waiting list before we re-commence production. I’ve already produced an initial batch of 40 case last year in preparation for the official launch of the business. Prices will be around the £200 +shipping mark depending on final options.
