From time to time I will post recordings of live concerts which need to be shared.

This is one of them.

Charles City, Iowa has always been one of the very best music programs in Iowa and possibly in the country.

I hope you can appreciate the level of music on this recording, not only from Mr. Brisbois but also for the wonderful preparations done by the band and my good friend Mr. Robert Gower.

Ladies and gentleman, I would like at this time to present to you one of the legends of the trumpet world at the peak of his touring career. Please welcome to the stage Mr. Bud Brisbois……

Bruce was a member of the faculty at the University of Northern Iowa, School of Music in Cedar Falls from 1969 until his retirement in 1999. He has performed with many well-known entertainers such as Bob Hope, Jim Nabors, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Anita Bryant, Carman Cavalara, Victor Borgie, the Four Freshman, Blackstone the Magician, Bobby Vinton and John Davidson.
